Help Kickstart Broadway Web Series “Submissions Only”

“Hey, Mr. Producer! I’m talking to you, Sir.”

Calling all Broadway Babies! The hit web series Submissions Only, a comedic look at the triumphs and terrors of the audition circuit featuring big name cameos from the likes of Kristin Chenoweth, Chita Rivera and more, just began filming its second season and the creators are looking for a little help from wannabe producer types like you. They’ve initiated a kickstarter campaign with the goal of raising $15,000 by September 15 and, with the clock ticking down, they are well on their way.

What’s in it for you? Even a small $5 donation helps keep this worthwhile series running and provides a showcase for some of your favorite Broadway talents. (Not to mention it’s actually very, very entertaining unlike that crap superhero movie you paid $12.50 for already this summer.) Like a modern day Mickey and Judy, the super-talented co-creators Kate Wetherhead and Andrew Keenan-Bolger (of my twitter crush fame) have built this operation from scratch and are now looking to up their game with better equipment and by — can you imagine — paying the cast and crew.

If you increase your donation, Kate and Andrew are offering a pretty cool list of “rewards” including producer credit, a walk-on role and a personalized video greeting (perhaps Andrew and his cast can recreate their shirtless summer party just for you).

Check out the first season here and watch their official Kickstarter video after the jump…
