The little show that could…didn’t quite. The New York Times is reporting that Lysistrata Jones will close this Sunday after 30 regular performances. Featuring an exuberantly talented young cast (which hopefully will not be forgotten during awards season) and a snappy Douglas Carter Beane script based on the ancient Greek comedy, Lysistrata is the second original musical of the season (after Bonnie & Clyde) to close early.
