The Pierre New York is bringing the best of Broadway to guests and locals alike with its popular new cabaret series, Broadway At The Pierre. On Wednesday, January 24, the hotel is teaming up with award-winning Broadway Sings For Pride creative director Neal Bennington for a special evening with some of Broadway’s brightest stars.
“The Pierre and Broadway are both iconic New York staples and I am thrilled to be partnering with this legendary hotel to bring the magic of Broadway to their guests,” said Mr. Bennington.
The exclusive one-hour show will feature a lively set list of musical theater and pop songs from Dan Domenech (Broadway’s Rock of Ages, TV’s Glee), Antoine L. Smith (Miss Saigon and the upcoming Carousel revival) and N’Kenge (Motown: The Musical, Sondheim on Sondheim). They will be backed by musical director and pianist Chris Curcio in the hotel’s Two E Bar & Lounge.
Originally the Gentlemen’s Library when The Pierre opened in 1930, Two E Bar & Lounge has become one of the hotel’s most beloved venues. Its coveted traditional Afternoon Tea menu is created by a full in-house pastry team. At night, Two E transforms into a stylish bar that serves handcrafted cocktails complemented by small plates, with live jazz on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. A Neo-Classical lounge, Two E was designed to reflect a chic Upper East Side residence.
“We are proud to continue The Pierre’s rich and long tradition of providing premiere entertainment for our guests and neighbors,” said General Manager Francois-Olivier Luiggi. “Broadway At The Pierre gives fans the opportunity to spend an evening with some of musical theater’s brightest stars in an intimate setting. The response that we have received to the series so far has been fantastic.”
Upcoming Broadway At The Pierre shows will feature cast members from School of Rock (March 21) and Disney’s Aladdin (April TBD). February’s show will be announced on January 31.
Broadway At The Pierre is a recurring series. Performances begin at 8:30 p.m. and doors open at 7:30pm. $75 food and beverage minimum includes admission, set menu and welcome drink. Advance reservations required. To reserve a table, please visit Two E on OpenTable, call 212-940-8113 or email TwoE@tajhotels.com.
