“Broadway in Bryant Park” is an annual summer treat, offering park-goers a chance to take in a preview of a musical and hear some of its stars belt out favorite tunes. Of course, COVID has unfortunately changed that tradition. This year, however, audiences craving a taste of New York’s arts scene will have much to look forward to as “Bryant Park Picnic Performances” are already underway.
Throughout the summer, Broadway performer Mauricio Martinez (On Your Feet!) will host a series of performances as part of this new park series that is free, open to the public, and viewable from home via livestream. Martinez will host several upcoming shows that feature theater talents and more:

Friday, July 30: Tina Tony Award nominee Adrienne Warren will take the stage with other performers to sing as part of the Carnegie Hall Citywide series.
Friday, September 10: The Classical Theatre of Harlem will present a special performance.
Monday, September 20: Musician Chris Thile and friends will perform for the Town Hall’s 100th-anniversary concert.
These events — and a host of others highlighting classical music, jazz, opera, and more — are free to the general public. At each performance, seating opens at 5:30 PM; the shows will begin at 7 PM on the Bryant Park main lawn. Attendees must show proof of full Covid vaccination or an immediately recent negative test result. Those unable to attend in person can watch via livestream, supported by Bank of America.
