It was a big night at the Drama Desk Awards last night, and that little queer-friendly musical with a huge heart — The Prom — snagged Best Musical! Might this foreshadow this Sunday’s Tony Awards? Ironically, it’s the only category the show won, with even splits (four each) among Hadestown and Tootsie. The Ferryman came out on top for Best Play, winning a total of four awards.
