The 2012 New Works Festival at TheatreWorks in Palo Alto is in full swing and that means:
- An eclectic collection of writers, directors and actors are busily rehearsing, performing and rewriting five new musicals and plays.
- Audiences are getting to see how theater comes into being with workshop productions and readings of works at different stages of development.
- I, as one of said writers, have not seen the outside of rehearsal room nor slept in days and therefore have not given you as many posts as I’d like.
To make up for my little summer hiatus, I’m offering these three videos, featuring behind-the-scenes insights into the festival from five of the writers (including myself).
Besides what you have now learned about my work, I have now discovered that I should never do an on camera interview when I have had little sleep and am jacked up on Coke Zero. Squirrelly. The following writers will be much more articulate.
