Looks like Eva Peron may not have kicked the bucket after all. Two of the stage’s most distinctive and honored talents will reunite on Broadway for An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin, a return to where they made their star-making debuts in the musical Evita. Starting November 16 and running for only 63 performances, the event is being billed as more than a concert but instead “a funny, passionate, intimate and unique musical love story told entirely through a masterful selection of some of the greatest songs ever written for the stage.” Hmm. Whatever that means it sounds unmissable because there is going to be some serious sanging going on with these two in the house.
