Who says New York City is the only place where the hottest entertainers can lose some layers for a good cause? The fifth annual Solo Strips returns to Las Vegas featuring the Strip’s hottest entertainers baring it all on stage to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BCEFA) and Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN). Tickets are on sale now at afanlv.org for the one-night-only show on Monday, Sept. 28 at midnight inside Spiegelworld’s Absinthe tent on the forecourt of Caesars Palace.
For the first time ever, Solo Strips and BCEFA is teaming up with AFAN to raise funds to benefit the men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada and throughout the U.S.
Solo Strips first hit Las Vegas in 2010 as original Le Reve – The Dream cast member and 11-year entertainment veteran Ryan Lyons brought the show to life. From its humble beginnings, Solo Strips continues its success garnering support from the local community with Spiegelworld’s generous donation of the Absinthe tent and has raised more than $15,000 since its start.
This year’s provocative collection of performers will showcase talent from Absinthe, Le Reve – The Dream, Cirque du Soleil, Zombie Burlesque, Sexxy The Show, 50 Shades! The Parody, Thunder From Down Under and Rock of Ages, among others.
“Broadway Bares Solo Strips has become a signature fundraiser in our community that people look forward to every year,” says AFAN Executive Director Antioco Carrillo. “It’s a powerful movement to see some of the top entertainers from our city come together to raise money for such an important cause.”
“BCEFA and AFAN share the same goal—to raise awareness about safe sex advocacy and to assist those in need living with the struggles of HIV/AIDS,” said Lyons. “I’ve seen this event grow each year through the involvement of some of the most talented people in the industry. It’s so rewarding to know our town is a real community of performers working together to support the fight against this epidemic.”
A limited number of advance sale tickets are available for $20 with regular priced tickets at $25. VIP tickets are $40 that include priority seating and a signed poster from cast members. Visit the events page at afanlv.org for tickets and additional info. Show is 21+.
