Every third Wednesday, a fabulous actor/singer/dancer will fill out my nosey little questionnaire and offer a glimpse of what they look like from a bit closer than the mezzanine. For April, we haven’t a ghost of a chance resisting this handsome and talented performer…
Name: Constantine Rousouli
Hometown: Englewood Cliffs, NJ
Current Show/Role: Ghost The Musical/Ensemble understudy Sam Wheat & Carl Bruner
The best part of the show I’m in now is: Being able to work on something original from the ground up
The most challenging job in show business I ever had was: Being a partial swing and covering three of the male leads. Never again! lol
If I wasn’t an actor, I would be: Miserable.
Places, Intermission or Curtain Call? Intermission is my favorite. Time to refuel and EAT!
The best post-show cocktail in town is at: Sosa Borella in Hells Kitchen. Best sangria ever! They also have both red and white. [Editor’s note: Sosa seems to be the must visit spot for actors these days because it keeps popping up in this feature!]
After you’ve hit all the traditional sites of New York City, you should totally go to: The West Willage and just get lost down there. Best looking streets in NYC. Cowgirl Hall of Fame and The Spotted Pig are my favorite restaurants in the village. Cowgirl has the best margaritas. Spotted Pig has the best burgers. If you’re shopping in the village, the Ralph Lauren Rugby store is one of my faves. Great modern everyday chic that you can dress up or dress down.
If I could live anywhere else in the world it would be: London because it’s cultured, the history, it’s beautiful, and I could pick up that amazing accent.
Board shorts, speedo or skinny dip? Sensible skinny dip! Wearing clothes is too much work.
My workout “secret” is: Caffeine. Nothing makes you work out harder than caffeine.
When I’m looking for a date, nothing attracts me more than: A sense of humor! Be witty and fast. Love that!
Pick a Stewart: Martha, Jon or Rod? I’m going to go with my girl Martha. She’s an undercover bad ass. Sweet on the outside but she will cut you. Also her Halloween ideas are kick ass!
People would be surprised to learn that I am: Actually a brilliant whistler. I mean severely talented at riffing while whistling.
When I was 10, I wanted to be just like: *NSYNC….gross, I know.
Ten years from now, I’d like to be: Rich and still living the dream.
It’s time to lobby the Tony nominating committee! Other than your show or someone in it, whom do you hope they don’t forget about this year? Well, I’m still going to be biased. I think Caissie Levy (Molly Jensen) in my show Ghost The Musical is a force to be reckoned with. No one deserves it more this Tony season than her. She is one of the hardest working, most talented, and humble actors out there. It’s her time to shine!
